Peace Chime

Celebrate your inner hippie with this beautiful bronze-tube windchime.

What is now known as the Peace Sign was originally designed in 1958 as the logo for Britain's Coalition for Nuclear Disarmament (CND). Made from a blending of the semaphores for N (flags held at 4 and 8 o'clock) and D (flags held at 12 and 6 o'clock), it migrated to the US in the 60's and gained a broader definition as a symbol of peace. It has become one of the most widely known symbols in the world.

Our Peace Chime incorporates the peace symbol in a stunning flame-finished stainless steel windcatcher. In keeping with the theme, the wind chime is musically-tuned to the notes of the second line ("...and let it begin with me") from the popular hymn "Let There Be Peace on Earth."

    Love my Peace Chime

I never thought that I could find the direct replacement of a very old, inherited and cherished chime - that I have routinely repaired due to age and lack of love. We bought a replacement just in case my efforts fail some day. And we bought some string for the old one to replace the fishing line. We especially love the windcatcher peace symbol design by appearance and the minimum surface area for the windy corner of the cabin where it hangs. Thanks for a delightful chime and a very impressive web site.

    Peace chimes

I purchased the peace chimes as a replacement for the same one I had bought over 15 years ago. I love their beautiful song. My 1st set endured a move from Maryland weather to Florida weather. It took a category 4 hurricane to damage them. Woodstock are the best!!!

    I love this chime

I love all things peace sign. I hung this inside my house in front of my window with my plants. I love the feng shui it provides and my cats reach up to give my chimes a little play.
