Craftsman Chime - Evergreen
The clear sound of this chime is musically tuned to notes derived from the proportion of the Golden Ratio given to us by ancient Greece.
The stepped square top and square tube design of this chime were inspired by the Craftsman style of architecture popularized during the Arts and Crafts movement. This movement made designs based on the inherent harmony of mathematical proportions and their frequent occurrence in nature, paying homage, once again, to the Golden Ratio. The teachings of William Morris, a leader of the Arts and Crafts movement in England, greatly influenced designs created at the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony here in Woodstock, NY in the early 20th century. This chime, along with many of our other products, joins this lively heritage.
I was very proud to give this Craftsman Chime to a close friend as a gift for her historic home. In my mind, Woostock Chimes are THE windchimes.
What a beautiful tune when the wind is blowing. Something to unwind to after a hard day of work. Very relaxing & enjoyable while sitting under the big oak trees. If you want this to last for years to come. Keep it under an awning so the rain will not destroy the cords. Perhaps the seller will use a heavy plastic cording one day. Overall it is a great investment.
I got these chimes after listening to so many and these were just right. And I love the color and square shape of the pipes!!
Every time it chimes…I feel lifted to smile.
This is a well built and beautiful chime with the perfect pitch. A very relaxing sound.
