    Beautiful, if only you could hear it

    I feel badly giving only a 2 star review on this beautiful, well made, and lovely sounding chime. The issue is, it’s so heavy that it doesn’t pick up enough wind to sound the chime. I’ve had it about a month in Colorado and I’ve only heard it once when we had 60 mile an hour winds!!! Other than that, in order to hear it, I have to give it a little shake now and then. I’d bought this chime to replace a less sophisticated one that chimed all the time, and I’m missing the old one.

    Heroic windbell

    I purchased this as a memorial gift for a close friend who lost someone. The antique copper looks great, the bell sounds great. Really happy I got the wall hook accessory for an easy install

    It needs a lot of wind

    I’m waiting to hear it yet. I may need to move it to get more wind. I want it close to the house to listen to it. It does have a deep rich sound. I have two other Woodstock Chimes that I love. They’re smaller, lighter and chime beautifully in a light wind. I’ll find the right spot yet!

    nice mellow sound

    I live in a condo and noise is to be avoided but the Heroic Windbell is the perfect solution. lovely deep chime that isn't the least bit intrusive.

    It may need some breaking in...

    I already have a Windbell - Large - Antique Copper and am very pleased with it. It produces a pleasant low tone with marvelous sustain which developed over several months. I am expecting the Windbell - Medium - Antique Copper to do the same. It seems as though the black rubber cover over the bell clapper has to slowly conform to the clapper and the curvature of the bell to produce a sustained tone. I sure hope this happens.

    Don’t waste your money

    Wind bell sounded awful - same size available anywhere for $30-$40. Bell was not tuned at all. I already have 6 multiple sized wind bells and these were awful and I returned them. Came in torn packaging.

    Antigue Copper seems to mean brown

    The bell is lovely but a bit disappointed in the rather bland color. Wish I had ordered the green color, but hesitated that the brutal AZ sun would harm the color. Dolove the mellow sound.

    Striker stringer is two short and not adjustable

    Nice looking but sound production is too limited due to length of string from striker to wind capture. No adjustment available.
