A portion of the sales of this Charitable Chime benefits scholarship and education programs at the Barbershop Harmony Society, a society dedicated to the preservation and encouragement of barbershop quartet singing in America.

Our Barbershop Harmony Chime is tuned to the harmonies of a barbershop quartet, which includes a lead melody note, a high tenor harmony, a bass fundamental harmony, and a baritone note that completes the chord.

Barbershop harmony is one of the few uniquely American-born musical styles. It takes its roots in the African American musical traditions of the late 19th century, particularly in New Orleans, and is thought to be a precursor of jazz. This classic-style chime plays notes that are pleasing to the ear and are sure to instill a sense of nostalgia for simpler times.
