SKU: AWB
Description

An instrument for sound healing and relaxation, the Awakening Bell is unmatched in its ability to inspire wellness.

Developed in partnership with jazz great Jack De Johnette, world renowned sound therapist Dr. John Beaulieu and Woodstock Chimes founder and musician Garry Kvistad. When the Awakening Bell is sounded, the long overtones of the bell naturally puts the listener into a Theta state, which is a relaxed state characterized by deep calm. The tone of the Awakening Bell resonates with an area of the brain that helps control stress. Through this resonance, they experience a lightness and sense of well being.

The Awakening Bell can be played two ways. Tap it and listen to the overtones, or rub it (Tibetan Singing Bowl style) and make it sing. The Awakening Bell comes with an instruction booklet that includes background information on the bell and explains how to play the bell (both styles of playing). This chime carries a lifetime tuning guarantee.

The Awakening Bell is well constructed and will fit in with most interior decors. The tonality is very pleasing and easy to resonate with. It will take some practice in order to master the technique for “singing the Bell”; but it can be achieved.

What a beautiful, long lasting tone!

I learned about the Awakening Bell during a class with Dr John Beaulieu. The concept sounded so interesting and I was thrilled to see it on the Woodstock Chimes website. The tone is amazing to listen to. I have shared it with a few friends and they, too, are interested in owning their own.

    Wonderful and reliable company

I am so impressed with this company. It is clear from their products they take pride in their merchandise they offer. The chimes were packaged well and arrived swiftly. I already have a wish list going for me and my holiday gifts. AND......most importantly....I LOVE THE SOUNDS!!!!!

    Poor craftsmanship for the price

The bell sounds great and works well when struck by the included mallet. But for the price, the construction is not finished well - sharp/rough edges on the wood and uneven construction. Not enough to affect functionality, but just not the quality of craftsmanship I expected from the company and for the price. Very very difficult to "play" the instrument by friction rather than striking, the angle is awkward. (As opposed to crystal bowls, which are very easy)

I love mine. It's quite centering...

With it's C note it hits the root chakra. Whenever I'm stressed I strike it and close my eyes. Then I am immediately centered again.
