Magical Mystery - Butterfly's Farewell

Description
Must be heard! The unique acoustic effect makes Madame Butterfly soar! Our Magical Mystery Chimes feature a musical phenomenon known as octave doubling. Here's how it works - you remember the Do-Re-Me-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do scale from The Sound of Music? The "Do" notes at the start and end of this scale are the same note, an octave apart. Notes separated by an octave are considered harmonically equivalent and ""ring"" together in a way that adds a pleasing sound to the music. Our Magical Mystery Chimes take this theory to the extreme - each note of the chime is matched with its "octave double." This unique tuning heightens the harmonics never used in wind chimes, creating a song that must be heard and believed. Our Butterfly's Farewell Chime mirrors the lovely pentatonic melody at the climactic finale of Puccini's popular opera, Madame Butterfly. When all is lost, the leading soprano uses a full range of human emotions to express her intense passion to restore her honor as the music builds in this tragic love story.

    Poor Customer Service

This order was placed as a gift with an attached note. I emailed and called the company to make sure the chimes were marked as a gift and the note was received. Was told by a customer service that it was in the system as a gift with an attached note and she even read the note back to me. Gift recipient receives the chimes with no indication of who sent it and no attached note. I emailed customer service to let them know what happened and the reply I got back was the standard, “I sincerely apologize.” Not exactly what I was expecting after making a $100 purchase.

    Absolutely Wonderful

Never have had chimes in my yard before and I am absolutely loving this. So pleasant and calming. We even keep the windows open slightly so we can hear them inside the house too. I plan on buying several as gifts this year.

Magical Mystery Chime -- Butterfly's Farewell

This wind chime is absolutely beautiful sounding! The only thing that stops me from purchasing another one is when it arrived it was so badly tangled that we thought a return was imminent. My partner was able, after quite some time and strategy, to untangle it so we could hear its beautiful wind sounds. It truly is an astounding piece and it's not just because we're a musical family. It's worth purchasing ... beware it may arrive tangled however.

    Hello Pollie,
Thank you for your post. We are happy to hear that you're enjoying the sound of your Magical Mystery Chime - Butterfly's Farewell.
We do our best to ensure that our chimes do not tangle during shipping and that they can be readily hung without issue. Please be assured that tangling during shipping is a rare occurrence.
If you experience any issues in future, please reach out to customercare@chimes.com and we will be happy to assist you.

    Beautiful Sounds

This is the second set of Butterfly's Farewell chimes that we have bought. We bought the first set to take to our mountain cabin, but loved it so much, we kept it at our primary residence and the second set for the cabin.
