Bamboo gives our Asli Arts wind chimes a mellow, musical, and enchanting sound, unlike any other wind chime. Our chimes are made with pride by Balinese craftsmen. Each piece is individually hand-carved and handcrafted. Coconut and bamboo are used to make these instruments of nature. In addition, musicians hand-tune each chime. Testing the sound of each tube, our musicians/craftsmen create chimes that sound as good as they look. By hand-toning each tube and selecting a range of sizes, they ensure that each chime will produce a unique melody.
This product is handcrafted with pride by artisans in Bali, therefore sizes can vary.
I love my new chimes, had them years ago and just loved them! I love the click and clacky noise they make, it really soothes me !

The lady & I use the term loosely that sent me an e-mail was non to bright & basically treated me like a Retard & a Liar!!! When I told her that the Bamboo chimes, 3 out of 5 had splits from top to bottom from right out of the box!!!

Bamboo is sensitive to humidity and sudden temperature changes and despite all our precautions, infrequently, cracks in bamboo occur as the bamboo expands and contracts in reaction to climate changes. These chimes are beautiful to look at and to listen to. They make sitting out on our deck, such a delight!
I have two of the Chimes of Neptune, one on the front porch and one on the back porch. I like to leave my chimes hanging up all the time no matter how hard the Texas wind here blows so about once every couple years I have to restring the chime on the front porch where the wind does its worst. The string is the same as the original string it had when I got the chimes new. I also kept the instructions how to string the chime so I do it right. The string is easy to use and looks perfect when I'm done restringing my chime. Of course the string can only take so much abuse from our wind and usually it will last about a year or year and a half before breaking. I really appreciate that you sell replacement parts for your chimes, instructions and have a phone number to call if I have any problems.
